Misty Morning Departure – Werris Creek

$140$780

Misty Morning Departure – Werris Creek. 2018. With a mighty eruption of steam and a column of smoke, 3212 gets underway at the head of a northbound passenger train on a misty winter’s morning. The C 32 class was a very successful and long-lived group of locomotives. Built from 1892 until 1911, 191 locomotives were produced in total. The first batch of 50 locomotives produced by Beyer, Peacock and Company were known as the Manchester engines. The class was originally assigned to the Northern and Southern mail and express trains and in November 1929 they were used on the inaugural Newcastle Flyers. The C 32s were very robust with 3210 racking up an amazing 4,185,685 km, the greatest distance travelled by any New South Wales steam locomotive.

This is a fine art quality print printed on heavy canvas with high quality non-fade inks.
