Wallabadah Rock 2019. Located not far from Murrurundi in the Upper Hunter, its base covers 61 hectares and is covered in flowering orchids in October.
The impressive two kilometre long ancient volcanic plug rises to a height of almost 1,000 metres above sea level and 300 metres above the surrounding landscape.
The painting is the result of numerous suggestions from”Murra” locals to paint the “rock” and produce prints etc for publicity. The Artist has included cattle both as a directional element and a reference to the surrounding cattle properties.
