Coal to Newcastle. 2017. Featuring the largest and most powerful of the New South Wales government Railways locomotives, the Beyer Garrett A.D. 60 class, this painting was a commission by a Dungog resident who wanted to rekindle his memories of the 1950s coal trains which passed through Dungog when he was a boy. As he was an avid train enthusiast, I knew I had to get this particular painting right and fortunately he was very happy with the result
